ECO Computer Systems is an innovative
social enterprise created to benefit
our planet and our children. We offer
IT recycling and IT refurbishment facilities
to householders, businesses of all sizes,
local authorities, schools and not-for-profit
organisations. |
We use all recycled PCs
to create training centres to enhance
the computer skills of the unemployed
and those on low incomes. As such all
profits made through recycling activity
will be invested in providing training
courses and, at the end of the course,
in providing each attendee with a free,
refurbished PC that they can take home.
We also support a number of charities
and social enterprises by providing
them with free recycled PCs so that
they are able to continue to provide
the valuable services that they offer
to our local community too. |
|
We have three offices
and a recycling centre in south London
and have arrangements in place with
a number of local charity shops who
are happy to act as drop off points
for your unwanted IT equipment. To find
out where our warehouse and charity
shop partners are located, please click

- offer IT hardware collection, IT
refurbishment and IT recycling facilities
to local businesses
- offer IT recycling drop off points
for unwanted PCs, printers and scanners
to local residents so that the IT
can be recycled
- provide basic IT skills training
to unemployed and low income families
- provide training on recycling and
how to reduce CO2 emissions to local
communities
- provide each person attending IT
training with a refurbished PC to
take home and keep
- supply recycled PCs computers to
not-for-profit organisations
- help to establish Youth Centres
so that we so provide facilities for
young people who may otherwise turn
to antisocial behavioural activities
to keep them occupied
- help business and not-for-profit
organisations to reduce CO2 emissions
in the workplace
- sell on all refurbished PCs that
are not required for training to enable
our business to make a profit and
therefore ensure our long term sustainability
- significantly reduce CO2 emissions,
by reducing the number of new PCs
which need to be manufactured to satisfy
demand
- encourage retail outlets to use
significantly more recycled plastics
from unusable computers than at present
As such, ECO Computer Systems will
afford those children in most need the
same opportunities for education and
employment as their wealthier counterparts,
and highlight the need to extend the
life of our ICT equipment so restricting
th-e damage the manufacturing process
has on our environment.
In doing so we will engage with our
local community, we will ask for their
support and in doing so, we hope to
change their behaviour with regards
to CO2 emissions and recycling for the
long term.
